Alexandra Mena maintains private voice studios in Los Gatos and Fremont, where she teaches a classical singing technique rooted in proper breath support and resonance, that can be applied to both opera and musical theatre.  She teaches all voice types and levels, specializing in students who choose to go into performance.

As a singer, she understands the importance of providing singing opportunities for her students.  As such, she combines vocal instruction with a series of ongoing recital-master classes, in addition to a formal yearly recital, designed to help students:

1. -Polish their vocal and dramatic skills on a regular basis
   

2. -Prepare for auditions
   

3. -Learn about resumes, bios & headshots
   

4. -Learn how to prepare for a role
   

Her students are actively performing in youth theatre, school productions, community theatre, competitions, talent shows and sponsored events.

Alexandra was the voice instructor for the City of Fremont, where she taught group classes of all levels and ages.  In addition to her private studios, she also substitutes at the New Mozart School of Music, in Palo Alto.
